XYZ Trains Nigerian Army
25th April 2007. - Tim Rideout and Mark Fairbairn, directors of The XYZ Digital Map Company, have just recently returned from a successful ten day trip to Lagos, Nigeria where they were hired to train 15 Nigerian army engineers, and software consultants in the use of MapInfo, MAPublisher, and Adobe Illustrator.

The Nigerian army soldiers were trained for three days in MapInfo, and for a day each in MAPublisher and Adobe Illustrator.
Of his experience training in Lagos, Tim Rideout said: “All of the students were keen and enthusiastic, despite the heat and constant power outages. This marks a major venture by the Nigerian Army into the field of digital mapping.”

MAPublisher 7.5 released
In July 2007, Avenza Systems Inc. announced the release of MAPublisher 7.3 for Adobe Illustrator CS2 and CS3.
MAPublisher 7.5 includes some improvements to the functionality, but is primarily a maintenance release to provide compatibility with the new Illustrator CS3 (Illustrator 13). Users with CS1 or earlier should continue to use MAPublisher 7.3.

of military aeronautical charts. This means major UK users now include the UK Hydrographic Office, Royal School of Military Survey, the RAF, the Royal Engineers, and the Civil Aviation Authority, amongst many others.

Release of XYZ Postcode Sectors 2007 version

28th March 2007 - The XYZ Digital Map Company have recently updated their UK Postcode Districts and Sectors vector data sets for 2007. These changes reflect the last updates made by Royal Mail.
