1. A.
The trainer can give one-to-one tuition in MapInfo as a two day course. If a three day course is preferred, in which the trainer will provide additional exercices and take the course at a slightly slower pace, please let us know and we can arrange a three day course for you with other clients.

The MapInfo trainer can travel to your home or office where a private course can be given. A small additional fee is charged on top of expenses for travel and accommodation.
3. Q. I am keen to come to learn MapInfo in Dalkeith, but I would rather stay in Edinburgh overnight. Is it far from Edinburgh to Dalkeith? Is there adequate transport?
3. A.
The XYZ Digital Map Company is based just seven miles outside of Edinburgh. Many clients prefer to find a friendly B&B or hotel in Edinburgh, so that they can enjoy some of the cultural treats that Edinburgh has to offer while receiving expert training in MapInfo. A taxi can be taken from Dalkeith to edinburgh, or alternatively there is an efficient bus network.
4. Q. Is lunch provided with the courses?
4. A. A buffet lunch of sandwiches, fruit and drinks are provided with the course, and tea, coffe and cookies are provided throughout the day.
5. Q. I have specific interests. Can the training be customised to suit what I want to do?
5. A. For a small additional fee (see training prices), the course can be customised to your needs. The course will still lead to a good and broad understanding of MapInfo, but where appropriate, the client's data may be used and emphasis can be placed on how to derive relevant information from that data. It is important that the client inform us well in advance for a customised course, so that the trainer can look over the data and tailor the course as needed.
6. Q. What background do I need in able to do the course?
6. A. Although some knowledge of GIS and computing may be useful, the trainer assumes no prior knowledge of GIS, and the course can be followed with the most basic of IT skills.
7. Q. Will the course count towards my professional development? Is there a certificate or something at the end?
7. A. The XYZ Digital Map Company provides a certificate to acknowledge the attendance and completion of the MapInfo course.
8. Q. Will I get provided with training notes. How will I remember all the information that is covered?
8. A. A comprehensive training manual is included with the course, which includes all the topics covered throughout the course, along with examples and exercises. A training CD is provided for each attendee, which includes all the training data used and more.
